The Automotive Director of Business Development will lead our Automotive strategy and business development in Europe. Synopsys solutions for Automotive span semiconductor design & verification, automotive-certified IP and software cybersecurity and quality across the entire Automotive supply chain from semiconductor companies to Tier 1s and OEMs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and drive the global Synopsys Automotive strategy with the Automotive Team, working closely with our Business Units, sales and executives
• Identify and drive potential partnerships and business development activities to expand and strengthen Synopsys solutions in Europe
• Be a spokesperson for Synopsys Automotive, presenting to customers and at industry conferences
• Work closely with EUSales and our Business Units to orchestrate key customer engagements
• Develop and nurture relationships withSales, Field Marketing,and key Automotive customers and partners
• Part of an existing cross-functional Automotive core team that orchestrates Automotive activities across our Business Units
• Experience developing programs and promotions for high technology products and services to both partners and customers in a multi-channel sales model organization
• Motivated, innovative self-starter, with proven experience in influencing without authority within a cross functional, international and multi-cultural organization
• Experience working with OEMs and Tier1s, ideally also with Semiconductor companies
• Detailed understanding of emerging Automotive Technologies such as Autonomous Cars, Electric Vehicles, Driver Awareness Systems, Sensor Fusion, Connectivity, and Machine Learning

Qualifications:

• At least five years of Automotive market experience, with a focus on new applications (AD, ADAS, next generation infotainment, connectivity services) previous experience at and/or working with semiconductor companies, Tier 1s and OEMs
• Sufficient technical background to be able to understand customer needs on EDA, IP and Software Quality & Security solutions
• Organizationally savvy and collaborative; comfortable in a matrixed, international, team orientated environment with multiple stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, a graduate degree in engineering or business is desired
