Principal Engineer - Signoff 3DIC STA Specialist

You Are:

You are an experienced and passionate Applications Engineer with a deep understanding of Static Timing Analysis (STA) and a proven track record in multiple chip tapeouts at advanced technology nodes, preferably at 5nm or below. Your expertise extends to 3DIC timing analysis and ECO methodology. You thrive in dynamic environments and excel at providing technical insights and direction to enhance the usability and adoption of STA solutions. Your strong communication skills enable you to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, and your collaborative nature ensures successful partnerships with customers and internal teams alike. You are proactive, customer-focused, and driven by a desire to see your solutions succeed in real-world applications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Driving Signoff tool adoption and conducting competitive benchmarks and evaluations.
  • Articulating the superiority of our STA solutions to customer design teams and management.
  • Providing customer training and support during tapeout processes.
  • Collaborating with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to enhance product offerings.
  • Developing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations.
  • Identifying and addressing customer needs and challenges to ensure successful product adoption.

What You’ll Need:

  • Deep knowledge and experience with Synopsys STA tools, particularly PrimeTime.
  • Experience in 3DIC timing analysis and ECO methodology.
  • Strong understanding of timing corners/modes, process variation, and signal integrity issues.
  • Proficiency in Tcl scripting and familiarity with synthesis, physical design, and extraction.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 10+ years of experience or Master’s degree (MSEE) with 8+ years of experience.

The Team You’ll Be a Part Of:

You will join a world-class Applications Engineering team within our Customer Success Group. This team is dedicated to supporting our industry-leading Static Timing Analysis tool, PrimeTime, and driving its adoption across the semiconductor industry. You will work closely with R&D, sales, and marketing teams to deliver high-value solutions to our customers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.
