Job Title:  Accounting, Staff / Payroll Specialist – US Payroll

Member of the Finance team who ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information. Operates as the subject matter expert, continuously looks for improvements in operational processes and designs and implements those initiatives. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

-    Payroll processing:
o    Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees from Employee Records/Data base and other related sources.
o    Manage tax and withholding records and deductions for all federal, state, local or other corporate taxes that affect payroll amounts.
o    Set up each individual new hire with all the necessary forms, including direct deposit requests, wage verification, I-9 information, and W-4 reports.
o    Produce yearly employee withholding tax reports in a timely fashion to ensure all employees are able to prepare their taxes without delay.
o    Answer questions regarding pay checks, withholding tax issues or wage adjustments from employees and help troubleshoot possible issues with pay.
o    Follow and calculate all outside wage garnishment requests or judgments when required on an individual’s paycheck.
-    Compliance
o    Statutory compliances with respect to 401K, Social Security,  FICA, FLSA, FUTA  and other related compliances.
o    Preparation and Co-ordination with  auditors and ensures smooth completion of audits related to payroll.
-    MIS reports
o    Preparation of monthly and quarterly payroll cost variance report ( CC wise, BU wise and function wise ).
o    Preparation of monthly payroll MIS and adhoc reports for management
-    ADP software knowledge – knowledge payroll processing through ADP is an added advantage.

Job Requirements:

?    5 to 10  yrs of experience in handling payroll of IT companies preferable using ADP software.
?    Degree or Masters Degree from any recognized university. 
?    Expertize knowledge of  retirement benefits like 401K, Social Security,  FICA, FLSA, FUTA.  
?    Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
?    Exposure to labour law compliances.
?    High degree of professionalism.
?    Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
?    Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
?    Must have good interpersonal, written and verbal communications and good presentation skills.
