You Are:
You are an early-career engineer passionate about solving challenging design problems in the semiconductor industry. With a strong foundation in physical implementation flows and a customer-first mindset, you’re excited to learn and contribute on advanced technology nodes using Synopsys’ industry-leading EDA tools. You take initiative, look for opportunities to improve workflows, and approach new problems with curiosity and resilience. You collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams, communicating technical concepts clearly and turning findings into actionable next steps. As a link between customers and R&D, you help translate real-world design needs into clear requirements—supporting continued improvements in performance, power, and area (PPA) and enabling customer success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Solving complex PPA (Performance, Power, Area) challenges using Synopsys’ latest implementation technologies, including AI/ML Implementation, Physical Synthesis RTL-GDS.
- Solving complex Formal verification challenges, early power estimation using latest technologies
- Benchmarking Synopsys solutions against competitors to displace alternative implementation flows and demonstrate superior results.
- Developing, debugging, and optimizing Synthesis implementation methodologies and flows for emerging semiconductor technologies.
- Providing technical solutions by identifying design and EDA tool issues and delivering actionable resolutions for customers.
- Translating technical findings into requirements for R&D, driving tool enhancements and adaptive long-term solutions.
- Deploying new technology features in the latest EDA tool versions and enabling customer migration for best-in-class PPA.
- Collaborating closely with Synopsys R&D and product development teams to shape future technology directions.

What You’ll Need:
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields from a recognized institution
- 0-2 years of experience in synthesis, physical design, or ASIC implementation, whether from internships, academic projects, or early-career roles.
- Familiar with methodology changes aimed at achieving targeted PPA metrics for complex designs.
- Proficiency in synthesis and formal verification tools and flows is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge in scripting skills (TCL, Unix, Perl) for automation and debugging.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively with customers and internal teams.
