You have spent the better part of a decade building CAD infrastructure that has to hold up under real silicon development pressure, not just proof-of-concept demos. You know that the difference between a flow that gets adopted and one that gets worked around is usually in the details no one else thought about. Lately, you have been watching the explosion of agentic AI and LLM orchestration, and instead of seeing hype, you see exactly how autonomous agents could transform the way IP gets designed, verified, and managed across its lifecycle.

You are the kind of architect who can sit with IP designers who need faster turnaround on verification and walk out with a multi-agent workflow spec that actually solves their problem. You do not wait for the AI platform team to tell you what is possible. You prototype, you integrate, you prove the concept, and then you scale it. You have strong opinions about what makes CAD infrastructure scalable, and you are not afraid to push back when a proposed solution will not survive contact with a real design team.

At Synopsys, you will work at the center of Silicon Lifecycle Management IP development, architecting AI-driven CAD systems using our global Agentic AI platform. The problems are hard, the scale is real, and what you build will reshape how thousands of engineer's works.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Architect and define the next generation of AI-powered CAD infrastructure for Silicon Lifecycle Management IP development, integrating autonomous agents into core design and verification workflows
  • Deploy and operationalize Synopsys' global Agentic AI platform directly into the SLM IP development loop, building orchestration layers that connect LLMs, agents, and EDA toolchains
  • Design multi-agent workflows that automate IP design tasks, verification loops, and lifecycle analytics, turning manual bottlenecks into autonomous, scalable processes
  • Partner with IP design teams, CAD engineers, and global AI platform teams to align architecture with real engineering needs and deployment constraints
  • Build and maintain the infrastructure layer that connects silicon design phases with AI-driven automation, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across the full IP lifecycle
  • Prototype, test, and validate new AI-CAD integrations in live development environments, iterating based on feedback from design teams and measurable workflow improvements
  • Drive technical strategy and roadmap for AI-augmented CAD systems within SLM, translating emerging AI capabilities into concrete engineering solutions

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, VLSI, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying advanced CAD flows and infrastructure in silicon design environments
  • Proven experience implementing Agentic AI frameworks, LLM orchestrations, or autonomous software agent systems in production settings
  • Deep technical understanding of silicon design phases, particularly IP development, verification, and lifecycle management workflows
  • Mastery of Python and C++ for building production-grade infrastructure, plus strong proficiency in EDA scripting languages like Tcl, Perl, and Shell
  • Track record of architecting scalable systems that bridge EDA toolchains and modern software platforms, with real deployment outcomes you can point to
  • Experience with Silicon Lifecycle Management concepts such as in-chip sensing, telemetry, and analytics is a strong plus

  • You have a point of view on what makes CAD infrastructure scalable and maintainable, and you are comfortable defending that view with technical depth and real-world examples
  • You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, especially when integrating cutting-edge AI technologies into established silicon development environments where stability and correctness are non-negotiable
  • You think in systems, understanding how changes in one part of the CAD flow ripple through design, verification, and downstream lifecycle analytics
  • You do not need perfect documentation or fully baked requirements to get started, you ask the right questions, align stakeholders, and find a path forward

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will be part of the Silicon Lifecycle Management IP Development team in Bangalore, working at the intersection of advanced IP design and AI-driven automation. This team is responsible for building the infrastructure and workflows that power SLM IP development across Synopsys, and you will be the principal architect defining how agentic AI gets integrated into that foundation. You will collaborate closely with IP designers, CAD engineers, and Synopsys' global Agentic AI platform teams, bridging technical domains and driving alignment across a distributed, highly technical organization.
