SUMMARY
The Summer 2026 Intern contributes to the development of Simulation Data Management software and next generation technologies and products. In this role, the Intern is part of a team responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining functionality related to Simulation Data Management in an agile environment. Experience in computer science and/or computer engineering is required.
This position will help build the next generation of the SDM product line. This is a great opportunityto join the global leader in engineering simulation.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of software products and supporting systems.
- Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements andaccomplishdevelopmentobjectives.
- Perform moderatelychallengingdevelopment activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance,testingand documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
- Understand and employ best practices.
- Perform moderatelychallengingbug verification,testingand support for assigned products.
- Performs development activities that may require analysis in areas including user experience and software with latest tools and the related products.
- Employs best practices and helps tomaintainthem through technical reviews and mentoring.
- Works independently withmoderatesupervision.
- Work under the general supervision of a development manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Working toward aBS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields with2-3years'completed toward your degree, orworking towardan advanced degree(MS)or specific relevant experience
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship bySynopsys.
- Working experience within technical software developmentprovenby academic, research, or industry projects. Good understanding and skills in object-oriented programming.
- Fluency in English withdemonstratedskills in writing, understanding, and presenting technical concepts.
- ProficiencyinJavaScript, TypeScript,C++and/or C#programming languages.
- Experience with NodeJS platform
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion for crafting robust and efficient code.
- Good communicationand interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed team.
- Experience delivering high-quality products in a large-scale commercial software development environment.
- Experience in using or developingclient server or cloud-basedsoftware
- Understanding ofcustomer requirements and tools used in this domain.
- Docker,Linuxand HPC experience are desirable.
- Experience in using Microsoft Visual Studio and Software Configuration management tools (SVN, GIT)
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
