You Are:
As a Principal Analog Design Engineer, you are a recognized technical leader with deep expertise in advanced analog and mixed-signal semiconductor development. You have a proven history of architecting and delivering impactful solutions, influencing the technical direction of projects and teams. Your experience spans the full lifecycle of analog design, from concept to silicon, and you excel at integrating new technologies to drive innovation. You are comfortable mentoring engineers at all levels, fostering a collaborative culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Your communication and leadership skills enable you to effectively partner with stakeholders and set industry standards.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the architecture and development of complex analog and mixed-signal IP, driving technical direction and innovation.
  • Defining and implementing robust methodologies for analog design, verification, and automation, ensuring high quality and reliability.
  • Conducting high-level technical investigations and preparing comprehensive design specifications and reviews for executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborating across cross-functional teams, including digital, layout, and software engineering, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Networking with senior internal and external experts to advance best practices and knowledge sharing in analog design.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to senior and junior engineers, supporting technical growth and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Representing Synopsys in industry forums and conferences, contributing to thought leadership in analog design.

What You’ll Need:

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Deep expertise in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including architecture, simulation, and verification.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with tools such as Custom Compiler/Virtuoso, and proven ability to drive circuit and layout automation.
  • Strong familiarity with test-driven development, unit testing, and version control systems (especially Git and Perforce).
  • Advanced proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments, with the ability to optimize workflows and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Demonstrated experience applying emerging technologies, such as AI frameworks, to accelerate analog design processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience influencing technical strategy and mentoring engineers.
