Job Description
We are:
In the IP security team we develop security IP that is used by our customers to add and improve security features to their chips.
Examples of security features are encryption and decryption of data, authentication, access control, etc.
To ensure that our security IP works as expected we verify the regular functionality, but also the functionality beyond normal use, e.g. fault injection.
For example, if a hardware failure causes the security IP to function differently than intended, we want our security IP to detect that
and report that to the security system it is part of.
The verification beyond normal use makes the verification of our IP a challenging and very interesting job, which requires thinking outside the box.
You are:
You are an experienced engineer with interest in security IP. You have knowledge of VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog and UVM.
You like to work in a highly skilled team where people have a diverse knowledge and experience.
While implementing what is already defined, you also try to identify test items or use cases that are still missing and make proposals to cover these.
You also are knowledgeable in scripting languages like Bash, Python, TCL, etc.
You like to innovate and use new approaches to help improve the test flow.
You possess excellent written and spoken English communication skills and are adept at problem-solving and reviewing complex designs.
Your organizational skills and ability to work well in a team make you an ideal candidate for this role.
What you'll be doing:
- Define test requirements for the normal functionality and for events beyond normal functionality
- Implement tests according to these requirements and validate the tests
- Implement a coverage driven methodology
- Evaluate completeness of the tests (coverage analysis)
- Support designers to identify design problems
- Work in a team with verification and design experts to develop state-of-the-art IP
The impact you will have:
- Further improve and maintain the quality of our security IP
- Guarantee correct functionality of our IP, even beyond normal use
- Contribute to the development of high security devices that are used in products for access control, self-driving cars, etc.
- Help maintain our great team spirit, where all colleagues support each other, also outside their standard job description
What you'll need:
- 3+ years of experience in ASIC digital design and verification.
- Experience with verification in UVM.
- Proficiency in Verilog, VHDL and SystemVerilog.
- Experience with scripting languages such as BASH, TCSH, PERL, PYTHON, or TCL is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address design issues.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
