What You’ll Be Doing:
- Understand and engage in commercial software development activities and processes for CAE software applications.
- Participate in research, design, and implementation of mesh generation algorithms and features for state-of-the-art engineering applications.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of object-oriented data structures, algorithms, and modules within large and complex software systems.
- Collaborate with a network of expert professionals to accomplish development objectives and share knowledge.
- Investigate and resolve defects in production code, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
What You’ll Need:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Experience with design and implementation of object-oriented application features using programming languages such as C++ or C.
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Python or equivalent.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and software configuration management tools (GIT, SVN).
- Preferred: Coursework in computational geometry and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Preferred: Knowledge of agile development methodologies, software design patterns, and test-driven development.
- Preferred: Research experience in engineering disciplines like mesh generation or computational geometry, or computer science domains such as distributed computing or parallel programming
