Project Engineering Management, Staff Engineer - ASIC Digital Design

Synopsys is looking for an adaptable, passionate, and resourceful Project Engineering Manager. A reputation for “getting the job done” and who is passionate, autonomous, and creative. A person committed to achieving high quality results in a team environment.

The position is for an ASIC Digital Design Project Engineering Manager. The mandate is to manage the digital component of a Mixed-Signal semiconductor Intellectual Property (MSIP) from concept to customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the development and implementation process of internal engineering products and services involving cross-functional design teams.
  • Identifies needed resources to achieve timely deliverables; identifies and escalates issues
  • Drives problem resolution through fact-based judgment
  • Manages risk and change from conception to delivery
  • Defines, promotes, implements and improves team and cross-functional engineering processes and practices

Requirements:

MSEE or BSEE (or equivalent) degree plus a minimum of 5 years of digital design and verification experience in the industry

  • Possess a full understanding of integrated circuit design and design verification
  • Familiarity with the development process for ASIC designs and knowledge of digital design methodologies, ATE production testing, DFT insertion, Synthesis constraints and flows
  • Scripting experience in Shell, Perl, Python or TCL is a plus
  • Good communication skills for interaction between different design groups and customer support teams
  • Customarily exercises autonomous judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in adhering to quality management system processes and procedures
  • Ability to navigate, manipulate files and use tools in a Linux environment
