We Are:

At Synopsys, we drive the innovations that shape the way we live and connect. Our technology is central to the era of pervasive intelligence, from self-driving cars to learning machines. We lead in chip design, verification, and IP integration, empowering the creation of high-performance silicon and software. Join us to help transform the future through continuous technological innovation.

You Are:

You are a senior engineer with deep expertise in memory interface IP and a strong foundation in verification, firmware, and system-level problem solving. You bring 15+ years of experience across DDR, LPDDR, HBM, or related high-speed interface technologies, and you know how to translate complex technical requirements into robust, high-quality solutions.

You are comfortable operating as a technical leader in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment. You bring clarity to ambiguous problems, work effectively across analog, digital, firmware, and validation teams, and help drive issues to closure. You enjoy mentoring other engineers, sharing knowledge, and raising the technical bar for the broader team.

You also bring strong hands-on experience with modern verification methodologies, especially UVM and System Verilog, along with the scripting and modeling skills needed to improve development and validation efficiency. You care about building quality in from the start, with strong traceability across requirements, verification, and silicon bring-up.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading verification and validation efforts for advanced DDR, LPDDR, and HBM memory interface PHY and controller solutions
  • Developing and optimizing embedded firmware to support PHY initialization, training, debug, and system performance
  • Creating and enhancing verification environments using UVM, System Verilog, and system-level modeling tools
  • Collaborating with analog, digital, firmware, and hardware teams to debug issues and ensure overall system integrity
  • Bridging pre-silicon and post-silicon activities to improve bring-up efficiency, debug effectiveness, and customer outcomes
  • Supporting silicon bring-up by developing tests, analyzing failures, and reproducing issues in FPGA or emulation environments when needed
  • Driving technical problem solving across cross-functional teams and helping teams make sound architectural and verification decisions
  • Mentoring engineers and contributing to best practices in verification, debug, and development workflows

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Improving product quality and verification coverage across next-generation memory interface solutions
  • Accelerating silicon bring-up and debug through stronger alignment between architecture, verification, firmware, and hardware teams
  • Strengthening development efficiency through better workflows, automation, and technical best practices
  • Helping deliver more robust customer outcomes through deep technical insight and effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Raising the technical bar through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

What You’ll Need:

  • 15+ years of experience in verification, firmware, ASIC or SoC development, system validation, or related technical leadership roles
  • Deep knowledge of DDR, LPDDR, HBM, MRDIMM, DFI, or related memory interface protocols
  • Strong experience with UVM-based verification environments and System Verilog
  • Experience debugging complex issues across firmware, digital design, verification, and silicon bring-up
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, Shell, C++, or similar languages for automation and workflow improvement
  • Good understanding of high-speed interface PHY architecture and system-level validation
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive complex issues to closure
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence through technical credibility
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring others
