Senior Staff FW Engineer / Customer Technical Support

The position offers an excellent opportunity to work with an expert team of engineers responsible for delivering high-end mixed-signal designs from specification development to prototype test-chips and state-of-the-art IP products.

We’re looking for an experienced FW developer with a strong interest for a customer-facing role. As products reach maturity and are shipped to customers, you will be the first line of response to customer-sourced incidents and requests, taking on the role of a technical point of contact for specific customers. You will play a fundamental part in quickly and proactively reacting to customer-raised incidents and requests.  

As part of the firmware team, you will be involved throughout the entire firmware development life cycle and exposed to the entire FW design, processes and flows.

Main responsibilities:

In this role you will:

• Contribute to FW development, with emphasis on best practices for readability, testability and optimization. 
• Perform on-silicon FW debugging and validation tests.
• Interact with customers during their silicon bring-up to debug anomalies and create response plans. 
• Produce high-quality documentation of FW-related procedures.
• Interact with other project stakeholders, including other FW team members, digital/analog designers, verification & validation engineers to refine specifications, understand test results, and create action plans accordingly.

Key Qualifications:

• BSEE or MSEE preferably in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency with the C programming language
• Good knowledge of build systems based on GNU make
• Familiarity with HW design languages (preferably: Verilog).
• Hands-on experience with lab test environments (Python, MATLAB).
• Relevant experience with the development of bare-metal embedded firmware.

• Experience with customer-facing roles.
• Excellent low-level debugging skills.
• Availability for occasional customer on-site debugging (travelling internationally).
