You Are 

You are an experienced technology and product leader who can operate at the intersection of market strategy, customer requirements, technology innovation and engineering execution. You have deep experience in semiconductor, embedded or software-defined systems and understand how hardware, software, development platforms and industry technologies need to come together to solve complex customer problems. You are comfortable operating across organizational boundaries and influencing product, engineering, sales, business and partner organizations without necessarily having direct authority over them. You can move easily between strategic discussions with executives and customers and detailed technical discussions with architects and engineering teams. You understand how to convert market opportunities and customer problems into product strategy, requirements, priorities and executable roadmaps. You are comfortable working in an environment where new technologies, markets and business models are still evolving, and you enjoy creating structure and direction where the path is not yet fully defined. 

What You'll Be Doing

• Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for integrated platform solutions addressing strategic semiconductor and system-level opportunities. 

• Identify market opportunities and customer requirements and translate them into platform capabilities, priorities and measurable product outcomes. 

• Work across multiple Synopsys product and engineering organizations to bring together complementary technologies into coherent customer solutions. 

• Define the appropriate balance between reusable platform capabilities, partner technologies and customer-specific requirements. 

• Work closely with engineering leadership to align product requirements, technical priorities and development investments. 

• Drive customer evaluation and adoption strategies, working directly with strategic customers to understand architecture requirements, establish proof points and support design-win activities. 

• Develop relationships with technology partners and broader industry communities where complementary technologies or capabilities are needed. 

• Contribute to go-to-market strategy, positioning, business cases and investment decisions for new platform opportunities. 

• Represent Platform Solutions with customers, partners and senior internal stakeholders and communicate product strategy, priorities, dependencies and business outcomes. 

• Help establish scalable and repeatable platform approaches that can be applied across multiple customers and markets.

What You'll Need

• 20+ years of relevant experience across semiconductors, embedded systems, software-defined systems, technology platforms, product management or related technology businesses, including significant leadership responsibility. 

• Demonstrated experience defining, developing or bringing complex technology products and platforms to market involving multiple hardware and software capabilities. 

• Strong technical understanding of system and SoC architecture, hardware/software interaction, architecture, verification, validation and semiconductor product-development methodologies. 

• Experience with software-enabled platforms including firmware, middleware, operating systems, application frameworks, developer environments or related software technologies. 

• Understanding of early development and validation environments such as virtual platforms, simulation, emulation, FPGA prototyping or related approaches. • Demonstrated experience translating customer and market requirements into product strategies, roadmaps, investment priorities and measurable business outcomes. 

• Experience working across complex, independently managed engineering, product and business organizations and influencing decisions in a highly matrixed environment. 

• Experience establishing technology partnerships, industry collaborations or broader technology communities. 

• Significant customer-facing experience and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders. 

• Understanding of go-to-market strategy, business development and the commercial considerations involved in bringing new technology solutions to market. • Experience leading sizeable cross-functional or distributed organizations and managing significant business or investment responsibilities is highly desirable. 

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or another relevant technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

The Team You'll Be A Part Of 

You will be part of a multidisciplinary Multi-Die Ecosystem Platform Solutions organization working across product management, engineering, software, verification, infrastructure and customer-facing teams. The organization works horizontally across Synopsys technologies to identify opportunities where integrated solutions can provide greater customer value than individual products alone. You will serve as a senior product leader for these platform solutions, working closely with existing product organizations while preserving their ownership of their individual technologies and roadmaps.
