Job Description

The EDA Group is focused on solving the semiconductor design industry’s high-value problems, including the march to angstroms, multi-die system integration, rapid node migration, right-first-time silicon, and reliability. Our full EDA software stack, spanning system architecture, design capture, verification, implementation, signoff, silicon lifecycle management (SLM), TCAD, and silicon manufacturing, enables our customers to rapidly bring high-performance chip designs to market. Our EDA stack is further augmented with hyperconvergence, AI engines, and data analytics that enable our customers to target their toughest productivity bottlenecks at every stage of chip design.

We're looking for an Applications Engineer - Smart Manufacturing on-site in Korea!

The Role of an Applications Engineer is to lead cases throughout the entire support life cycle from initial customer inquiry, to triage and reproduction, writing bug reports for hand-off to the development team, and case resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate leadership as a senior engineer to lead team members, including determining priority levels and sometimes negotiating and setting solutions with customers.
  • Resolve technical customer issues while working closely with other cross-functional teams and provide Engineering feedback to improve product quality and reliability to team leaders of key customers.
  • Maintain software product performance and report to customers in the Korean and neighboring countries.
  • Report content relative to troubleshooting processes, technical findings, provide service and postmortem reports.
  • Feedback on problems and propose technical solutions together with R&D.
  • Build relationship with customers and understand the market trends to feed back to product engineering for product roadmapping.


Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in Applications or Technical Support and service for high-tech industry such as Semiconductor and FPD (Flat Panel Display).
  • More than 5 years of team or project leading experience to resolve customer technical issues through due diligence & research, reproducing problems, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical end users, including customers.
  • Experience with the following: Linux, Database (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.), Programming Language(Java, etc.).
  • Excellent communication in Korean.
  • Good communication in English


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced with big data and data analytics
  • Experienced with AI/ML enabled solutions and how they are built
