Our System Solutions team is pivotal in enabling our customers with end-to-end SOC designs in advanced technologies. We deliver comprehensive tool flows, provide expertise in design methodology creation and implementation, and offer customer-specific design assistance. From RTL-to-GDSII implementation for blocks, sub-systems, and full SOCs, to executing full turnkey SOC designs from specification-to-parts, our team is indispensable to our customers—ranging from start-ups to industry leaders, commercial entities, and government agencies.
Our customers develop products for high-performance computing, automotive, aerospace & defense, and more. As a Senior SOC Architect, you will drive the development of SOCs, including hands-on work and providing technical leadership and guidance to internal or third-party SOC development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive SOC development from architecture to post-silicon.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams of micro-architects/RTL developers.
- Engage in direct customer interactions, offering solutions and addressing their specific needs.
- Manage full SOC development from micro-architecture through GDS, collaborating with partners on SW/FW and packaged parts full solutions.
- Travel occasionally for short periods and work on-site at customer premises as required.
Key Qualifications:
- BSEE/MSEE/Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in SOC-level architecture and RTL development.
- Proficient in SOC system architecture with experience in high-level or micro-architecture development, RTL development, design verification, DFT, physical design, and tapeout management.
- Knowledgeable in high-performance computing architectures in mobile, data center, client/server, automotive, and edge computing SOCs.
- Exceptional understanding of various interconnect options like Arteris NOC, AMBA AXI, CXL, and other similar technologies.
- Implementation knowledge of SOC level features like AVFS, low power management, and other power architecture-related features.
- Solid knowledge of HW/FW/SW interdependencies.
- Familiarity with SOC standard interfaces including PCIe, DDR, HBM, MIPI CSI/DSI, SPI, I2C, etc.
- Implementation knowledge of CPU architectures such as RISCV, ARC, X86, or ARM cores.
- Ability to travel occasionally and work on-site at customer premises as required.
Preferred Experience:
- Multiple tapeouts in advanced nodes such as 16-/14-/10-/7-nm.
- Managed a global team.
- Direct customer interaction experience.
- Experience in designing SOC from architecture to post-silicon.
- Experience working in a customer-centric environment with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to small teams.
- Cross-functional management of full SOC development from micro-architecture through GDS.
- Experience using workflow tools like git/gitlab/github.
- Ability to obtain government security clearances for government contract assignments.
