You Are:

You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented engineer with a passion for software development in the semiconductor industry. Your solid foundation in electrical engineering, combined with hands-on experience in EDA solutions and semiconductor design, enables you to tackle complex technical challenges. You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside expert professionals to deliver innovative software products and supporting systems. Your logical thinking and problem-solving abilities allow you to research and resolve issues efficiently, whether they arise during QA, product support, or development. You are adept at using tools such as Ansys Totem, IC layout editors, and spice simulation tools, and you understand the intricacies of circuit-level and timing analysis for signal integrity applications. Your familiarity with commercial CAE, CAD, and EDA software makes you a valuable contributor to the team. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, a sense of urgency, and excellent communication enable you to manage tasks effectively and support your colleagues. You recognize the importance of signoff criteria like Electronic Migration and Electro Static Discharge, ensuring comprehensive solutions and robust software modules. Your proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL, Python, or Perl further enhances your ability to automate processes and streamline workflows. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing, implementing, maintaining, testing, and documenting software modules and sub-systems for Synopsys products.
  • Employing industry best practices to ensure robust and efficient code development.
  • Performing bug verification, release testing, and providing beta support for assigned products.
  • Researching and solving problems discovered by QA or product support, delivering effective solutions.
  • Collaborating with a team of expert professionals to accomplish development objectives.
  • Working under the close supervision of a development manager, contributing to both individual and team goals.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least 5 years’ experience.
  • Direct experience with EDA solutions, semiconductor design companies, or semiconductor foundries.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansys Totem, IC layout editors, and spice simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of commercial CAE, CAD, and EDA software.
  • Familiarity with circuit-level and timing analysis for signal integrity applications.
  • Understanding of Electronic Migration, Electro Static Discharge, and other IC signoff criteria.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as TCL, Python, or Perl.
