What You'll Be Doing:
As a Finance Intern at Synopsys, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience working alongside our global finance team on meaningful projects that directly impact business decisions. Here's what you'll be learning and contributing:
- Business Unit Financial Analysis: Perform comprehensive analysis of business unit expenses, forecasts, budgets, actuals, and trends to support strategic financial planning.
- Capital Expenditure & Asset Management: Conduct worldwide Capex analysis and compute depreciation simulations for projects, while performing global inventory analysis to track and analyze inventory trends.
- Headcount Analytics: Track global headcount activities including hiring, attritions, and transfers, analyze the expense impact of headcount movements, and support headcount-related spending forecasts.
- Travel & Entertainment Analysis: Monitor and analyze travel and entertainment expenses to ensure compliance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Participate in ad-hoc analysis requested by business partners, providing data-driven insights that inform critical business decisions.
What You'll Need:
We're looking for motivated students with a passion for finance and analytics who are eager to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting:
Currently pursuing or in the final year of one of the following qualifications:
- MBA in Finance/ Economics - Final Year
- Chartered Accountancy (ICAI)- Final Year
- Management Accounting/ Cost and works accounts of India (ICWAI) – Final
- Chartered Management Accounting, CIMA UK – completed MCS and currently preparing for SCS
- US CPA – completed financial reporting paper and currently preparing for other papers.
• Strong knowledge of Business Finance and Financial Accounting principles and concepts.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create sophisticated financial models and compelling presentations.
• Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify meaningful trends.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
